Life Cycle Tray

Kids love knowing that everything has a place, and the life cycle tray was born out of the recognition for that need. A first of its kind, this life cycle tray allows for order and organization with the freedom to be as creative and expressive as your kiddo needs to be.

Although it was designed for the plethora of life cycles that exist, from the popular butterfly and bee to the chicken or bean plant, the life cycle tray can be used for so many other cyclical events in our lives. It can be used to show the cycle of the four seasons, or in later school years, more complex cycles like the Calvin cycle for photosynthesis or the water cycle, or even climate change.

Although our images show the stages of each life cycle as figurines, there are a myriad of options to represent a stage. You can use play dough, sticks, rocks, gemstones, felt, or printed designs from other fabulously talented makers like Stephanie Hathaway, Fiddlesticks Kids, or Green Urban Mama.

THE DETAILS

The tray is made from pure Canadian maple and is one solid piece of wood. The arrows are grooved in to allow for a sensory connection for young learners or those who connect on a sensory level. The diameter of the life cycle tray is 10" and each circle is 3" in diameter.

Please note that because wood is a natural material with different grains, your board will most likely look different from the one pictured. We do our best to make each board similar but the beauty of nature is that it is wonderfully unique.

CLEANING

We recommend using only dry sensory materials with this tray. The finish is resistant to mild liquid, but is not meant for intense dunking. Spot clean with a damp cloth and let air dry. Markers and crayons are not recommended.
