• Salmon are instrumental in the nutrition of forests
• Salmon smell their way back home to the rivers they were born in
• Once an adult chinook salmon returns to freshwater (from the ocean) it won’t eat, which means adults can go up to six months without food while getting ready to reproduce
• In Canada in 2020 92,000 salmon were captured commercially compared to 1,392,000 in the 1970s
• Chinook salmon can weight up to 100 lbs

Our wooden salmon measures 4 inches in length and is 3/4 inch thick.
