Bamboo tongs

Because the tongs are shipped for free, they are available to purchase ONLY if you are already ordering something else. This is to keep the cost of the sets down without adding the tongs and raising the price. The tongs are great practice for those early pincer strengthening, and essential for pre-writing development as they encourage little ones to begin to think about how they hold a utensil in relation to its functionality. With a scoop (the first stage), there are only a few ways little fingers can hold it. With tongs, munchkins have to navigate whether they are holding them with one hand, or two, and where on the actual set of tongs is the best place for them to get the most "squeezing power". That's a lot to consider when you're under 5!

The tongs are 6" in length and open at the base to roughly 1 1/4", making them wide enough to pick up the mini eggs, small balls, acorns and mini apples.
